Management and policies governing on education in educational faculties and departments are among theinfluencing factors in gaining ability and job preparation of graduated students. In addition, the students'perspectives, as the goal population, are taken into consideration in shaping the job expectations.Therefore, the purpose of the present study was to examine the role of management and policymaking ofphysical education faculties and departments in directing the job expectations of students via analyzingtheir postgraduate students' perspectives. The method of this study was descriptive-survey conductedbased on field study approach. The statistical population of the research consisted of all postgraduatephysical education students studying in 2011-2012. Applying Morgan Formula, 330 subjects have beenrandomly selected among this population through cluster sampling. The research instrument consisted ofa researcher-made questionnaire that has been distributed among respondents after ensuring its validityand reliability (α=0.84). Descriptive statistics and Univariate t-test have been utilized to analyze thecollected data. The results of the study showed that the respondents evaluated the role of governmentalpolicymaking in their job expectations and job satisfactions "high" and "moderate" to "high" respectively.In addition, the findings showed that the role of theoretical training in their career future is between"moderate" to "high", while the role of practical and skills training in their career future is "high". Thefindings also indicated that the effects of social and cultural factors as well as economic and living factorson students' job expectations were evaluated to be "moderate" to "high" and "high" respectively. It wasalso demonstrated that the mean disparity of all research items with the hypothetical mean of three hasbeen meaningful (Pfaculties and departments is very important and vital. Regarding the findings of this study, the strategiessuggested by researchers to the curriculum planners and educational content suppliers in postgraduatedegree of physical education in respect to shifting the orientation of current educational systems fromtraining-based system towards research-based system, and research-based courses towards making skillsand entrepreneurship environments is according to the provided strategies.
